I'm Nuts for......

As you know from my previous post, my son is back from Europe.  I'm very excited to show you what he brought me for Christmas!   While in Germany, he got me a hand carved nutcracker!  I have collected nutcrackers for years, and was really touched that he remembered that it would be something that would be special to me, and I love it!   I was lucky enough, at Target a couple of years ago to find one in a Air Force uniform and this year, also at Target, I found one in a Marine uniform.  I was really excited to find those for my sons.
Here is my newest nutcracker, all the way from Gremany!!

I couldn't resist taking his picture out in the snow!
Yes, we finally got some, 5 inch's!  It was pretty exciting and so beautiful!  It's very unusual to get this much!  For those of you who live where it snows, you might find this interesting!   Because people here aren't used to driving in snow, just about everything shuts down!  The schools here have been closed since Monday, good for kids, not so good for Moms!  According to the news, there were almost 150 accidents between midnight and 12 noon on Monday!

Till next time...
Rebecca

How thoughtful of your son! What a treasure!
We had a big snow storm here, but being close to the coast we didn't get as much as my mom or sister who I believe got close to a foot and a half! : )
Have a good day!

What a beautiful gift! My kids collect Nutcrackers. We try to remember to write on the bottom the date received and where they were purchased. Hey, it's super cold even here in Florida.
