1803 Historic Log Home

This past weekend  my BP and I were lucky enough to be invited to tour a fabulous home here in town that a good friend of ours just listed for sale. (I showed you his adorable cottage last time.) This log house was the first home built in Rutherford county in 1803.  It has been lived in for the last 30 years by one of Murfreesboro's premier event planner and interior designer.  It has wonderful English gardens and is surrounded by 2 story high boxwoods. There is also a brick patio with a lovely fountain and and a charming 600 sq. ft. building that could be used as a studio or a sweet guest house. The house  itself is wonderful and even has a " Monteagle" style screened in porch that is to die for!
Here are some pictures of the outside of this magical place.

Hope you enjoyed seeing the fabulous grounds of this special place as much as I did!
Next time, I will show you the amazing rooms that make up this wonderful home.
Till next time........
