Christmas Obsession (not dancing with the stars but).....

I haven't done any Christmas posts because I've been in California since the 23rd of November to spend Thanksgiving and help my sister during  her 2nd  knee replacement surgery which she had on December 2nd.  She had the other knee done this time last year, I was out here then too. What that means for me is that I have a lot of Christmas decorating and shopping to do when I get home! I do have my tree up but not decorated and my garland is also up. That's all I was able to get done before I left.  I'm flying home on Saturday, the 12th.  Now, I'm going to tell you about my latest Christmas obsession!  One of my BFs, Marsha, friends since the 7th grade, showed me the dancing elves video she made using  her family members.  I had seen one a few years ago but had forgotten all about them.  I loved it so much, I couldn't make just one, I had to make 3! It seems I can never stop at just one of anything, do I need therapy?  When Marsha was visiting, we had that very discussion about our collecting habits.  Could I have just 1 puppy planter, no.....and I'm not telling how many I have!  Same with my ironstone collection etc.  What does that mean.....well, I think I'm normal.... I'll leave that for you to decide!

To get you started, here's a photo of my favorite vintage elves that are from our Christmas's starting back in the 60's

In January, if you don't buy them, they disappear.  My plan was to
buy them but I forgot and now they've gone! I'm very sad, but then again,
there's always next year!

Each video is pretty short, so it won't take that long to
watch all three.  The videos according to the web site
will stay up till January 1st unless you purchase them
for $1.99 each.
(Be sure to turn up your volume a little for the music and click on the link)

Once I get home, I may not be able to post again till after Christmas
depending on how much time it takes me to get ready for the big day.
I'm really going to try and not to get stressed, just get done what I want,
not worry about the rest and just enjoy the holiday with these 2 cuties!

Kailyn, 3 and Sarah who turned 1 on December 8th!
Is time going flying by or is it just me?

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Till next time.......

New England Trip - Portsmouth NH

I know it's taking me a long time to show you the photos from my New England trip a year ago last spring, but, better late then never right?  One of my favorite places we visited was Portsmouth, New Hampshire.  It had beautiful homes and a wonderful down town area, lots of shops and restaurants.
One of my sister's favorite shops was the Alex and Ani jewelry shop.  I had never heard of it before so that goes to show how out of the loop I am!  She added to her collection and I bought a bracelet for Kate.  We both could have done a lot of damage there!  Unfortunately I didn't think about taking any photos while we were in there.  We really enjoyed our time in Portsmouth, would highly recommend a visit if you're in the area!
 Enjoy!

This was one of our favorite restaurants, very funky,
the portions were huge and the food was sooo good!

They had all kinds of crazy things hanging from
the ceiling and on the walls

This is what I had, the omelet and raisin toast were huge
and oh so good! As you can see, I was more interested in
eating then taking a photo!

My sister ordered sweet potato fries and got this huge platter

Gorgeous houses on the water

A lot of the houses in New England are adorned with
wonderful weather vanes, this one was one of
our favorites

  Till next time.......

Fun Tartan Parade

I'm so honored that Alison from The Polo House Blog asked me to be a part of her Tartan Parade!  Tartan and plaid are two of my favorite patterns especially around the holidays.  Here are some of my favorite things made in my favorite pattern!

I'd love these on my tree

I'm not a hot chocolate fan but I would love these for my coffee!

I'm sort of a pillow freak and love every one of these

How cute would these be with a great pair of jeans and a cozy sweater!

I loooove this  for a winter wedding!

The perfect Christmas wreath, so my style!

I'd have a hard time not wearing this jacket every day!

Tell me, who doesn't love a guy in a plaid shirt and jeans!
(couldn't resist a little eye candy for you ladies)

For those of you who like a little more sophistication in
your man, I've thrown this guy in just for you

Well, this is the end of my "Tartan Parade" all wrapped up with a Tartan bow!
Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did putting it together!

If you love plaid and tartan, please visit Alison at the
for a list of the other bloggers in her fun Tartan Parade!

PS.  Here's a photo of my little Trick or Treaters!
