I don't know how yard sales are going where you all live, but around here, they are pretty slow and mostly have clothes and toys. Even so, I've managed to find some good stuff. Here are a few photos of some of the things I've found. I'll be showing you more later.
These are vintage Tell City, Hitchcock style chairs that I got for $50.00 which is a steal! Even though the paint is worn, (which I love), they are in excellent shape. There are 3 side chairs and 1 arm chair.
Since I'm trying not to become a hoarder, (I know my kids would debate that),
they are now in my booth waiting for at new home.
These Christmas things I got at a Church sale.
Since Kate is just starting out in her new home, she doesn't
have a lot of holiday decorations, I think these will be a
good start for her.
This Santa was $1.00
I love books, especially children's books and have a nice collection.
With the new baby coming, I can start a little collection for her, I think this will be a
good one for her 1st Christmas, and, it was only .25cents
This Santa and candle holder was .50 cents,
how cute is this!
how cute is this!
Till next time.....
Rebecca

Wow, nice find! Happy 4th...
Ciao,
Mary
Love those chairs, especially the armchair! Great deal :)
Rebecca, those chairs are a splendid find. I adore black painted furniture. Have a great 4th. hugs, olive
What wonderful chairs! Great find.
Oh those chairs are wonderful! What a steal! Happy 4th!

Great finds! The chairs are wonderful!
Great old chairs! I love the rush seats and they are in really good condition. Of course the book is one of my favorites. :@
The chairs are a great find! Sales around here are like yours. Clothes and toys. I will screech to a stop though if I see anything Christmas though (don't tell Mr. B. he thinks I have too much now!). Thanks for sharing at the party this week!
Very cool chairs! Sales around here are hit and miss too. Sometimes it pays to do a "drive by" and see if it's all children's clothes and toys or just pure garbage! There was a local garage sale here with over 250 vendors and i got a handful of things. You have to wade through the endless VHS tapes and the vendors selling at retail prices at a garage sale!
Great finds Rebecca! Very nice chairs. I love old children's books and this is so cute...
Hoarders? What does it mean? haha
Besos! Silvina
I agree...good "vintage" stuff is harder to find at garage sales these days...but every once in a while you hid a good one...and so I just keep on keeping on :) Love the chairs!! Have a great week, Laurel
Awesome! I'm a new follower from a blog hop. I would love if you came over to my blog and followed back at www.iheartpears.blogspot.com

You did good in getting those Tell City chairs at that price, worn or not. Any Tell City product is worth its price.
Thanks for stopping by my front porch and extending an invitation to visit. Congratulations on the impending arrival of your first grandchild. I enjoyed browsing around your blog today, and count me in as a regular visitor!
Those chairs are so beautiful, what a good deal.Great Christmas items too. Thanks so much for visiting me, I appreciate your sweet comment.
Those chairs are fabulous! Good for you in finding those treasures! I love getting Christmas stuff at garage sales. You can usually deal on the price because it's hard to get rid of those things in the middle of summer.
Hi: I love going to yard sales, and haven't been for a while. But you sure found some beautiful items--those chairs are really great. Take care, and have a lovely weekend! PS--for a brief while I lived in Cookeville!
Your finds are fantastic.
Can't wait to see what you do with the chairs. Your daughter is going t love those Santas.
What a great deal on the chairs! Thank you for sharing your terrific finds at Potpourri Party at 2805!
Rebecca, I so agree yard sales have all but dried up here in my area. But I am liking that chair you found. I am heading out now and I never start this late but it's just not too exciting in all this heat.
Rebecca, love the chairs. Don't know if I would have been able to part with them. Call me a hoarder. lol! Seems like most of our yard sales are just clothes also. Every once in a while I'll find a treasure. Great Christmas items also.
Hugs,
Jann
Oh, the set of chairs were a steal! Great find! Thank you for sharing at TTF and have a great day!
Wow, what a find... those chairs are gorgeous!
OMG! Those chairs are fabulous!!
You had a great deal, congratulations!
Tereza

Jody
Nice finds! Lucky - I haven't been able to find a single thing in weeks.
I really like the designs on those chair backs!
Wow what great finds! Those chairs are wonderful and I love the little book. What a great way to start a collection for your new grand baby.
Great chairs! It is slow around here too! I think it is the blazing heat no one wants to get out in it! Traci
Thanks for stopping by my site!

This heat has me avoiding yard sales like the plague! Even at 7am the humidity is too much! Probably why I haven't even seen that many signs around for sales.
I can't believe that it's already time for Kate to have her baby! This summer is just flying by! I hope her labor and delivery go smoothly on Thursday. I'll be praying for her! And congratulations two days early!!! :o) Don't wait too long to post pictures up here! ;o)
