Sarah's Summer House........

One of my favorite designers on HG TV is Sarah Richardson.  I love everything she does. The choice of colors, the fabrics, the furniture and accessories she uses are just perfect!  Her designs are so classic yet casual and timeless.  This summer she redesigned her family's summer cottage on their own island.  Her husband had bought it during his "bachelor" days and it was time for a update.  In case you missed it, here are the after photos!

It's definitely my idea of the perfect "summer cottage"!
I don't know about you, but once I got there, I would never want to leave!

Till next time......
Rebecca

I'd never want to leave either! What a cozy home. I especially love that roof top deck.

I can jump on the Sarah bandwagon anytime!
I also love every little thing she does. And she is sweet and funny and not full of herself like so many of those tv designers.
She rocks!

be.u.ti.ful pictures of a cottage...I stopped in my eyeball tracts to take each one in...soaked it up and I felt right at home in those comfy chairs sipping hot coco....awe....now..about the Goodlettsville Antique Mall...I saw tags on merchandise that read...."Walnut and Vine" on them...and I thought that was your booth...not so? then someone bought your things and set up a booth using your tags on their merchandise then...humm..mm..
I'll go back and check again...keep you posted...Mel

I love Sarah, and I especially like her sidekick, Tommy. Wish they'd come to my house! :)

I would never want to leave either, that would be the ultimate in relaxation! I could gladly move into that red gingham bedroom, crawl in and not wake up for a long time.
I love what Sarah does, she is a marvel!
Hugs, Cindy

I TOTALLY agree Rebecca. I enjoyed watching this on HGTV. She knows how to make a home cozy but still clean and simple - never cluttered. I like how she incorporates vintage pieces to save money so she can purchase majorly expensive fabrics!

Jeez, that place is GORGEOUS! I just love her style!!! I feel a little relaxed just looking at those pictures...I can only imagine what it would be like to own a place like that!

Do you have any suggestions of antique stores to visit around here that are reasonably priced? The only places I've really been around here is Gas Lamp in Nashville, The Factory in Franklin, Three French Hens in Nolensville, and Hylabrook in Murfreesboro. I know you've got to know of some good ones. I'm specifically looking for furniture pieces, like shelves, side tables, and possibly some big furniture too. I figured you were the perfect person to ask. :o) (sarahcox11@ymail.com)

I saw her house on HGTV and loved it, too. I agree that she does beautiful rooms. Her style is appealing to me because it is timeless. Her furnishings will still look fabulous years from now. Shannon
