My Vintage Cabinet.........

I bought this kitchen cabinet a few years ago at an auction.  It was  a good deal at only $125.00.  I've had it in my kitchen ever since and it definitely comes in handy for storage and I really love the way it looks.  Over all, it's in pretty good shape, I could do a little scraping on the glass to get the excess paint off, but so far I've "lazed" out and left it.  It holds  some of my jadeite collection, some of my favorite dishes and is the perfect place for a lot of my cookbooks.

Till next time......

I love it!!! One of the nicest I've ever seen. I have a red and white enamel top table that is one of my favorite things and would look perfect with it. It used to be our kitchen table, but now it is in my office piled with stuff.

I have almost that identical cabinet! I bought it about 2 months ago and plan on fixing it up (mine wasn't in super great condition) and then putting it in the new kitchen! I love what you use yours for!

I had one of those, but I gave it to my son and my entire collection or orange/red Fiesta ware when we moved. There just wasn't room for it in our new house. I still miss it. I love your collection, too. It looks great in there.

Just dropping by from 'The House in the Rose'. A great cabinet and even greater jadite collection. You don't see it in the UK so I always try to buy some when I visit the US.

Love the cabinet...love what you've got inside even more!
It makes me think Amish - I have no idea why since I've never set foot in an Amish home but I love the color of the cabinet and how you've decorated with it.

I love your cabinet! I have something similar. I have the same table top, except mine is on a cabinet. My husband restored it you can see it on my blog if you would like http://carolannbychance.blogspot.com (antique baker's table/cabinet)

This looks like it could have been a hoosier...those are very expensive, last summer I thought of getting one but they were over $1,000, you got a great deal!

I got mine from Gas Lamp Antiques in Nashville (across from 100 Oaks). That is one of my favorite shops! My cabinet was Martha Kidd's (of David and Kidd Booksellers). It still has the flour sifter intact, but needs some work and clean up. I'll have pictures up as soon as I've finished it!

I'm so glad you entered the picture of your cupboard! I just bought a child size cupboard that I want to paint off-white with a faux enamel top to go with soon-to-be red stove and sink I bought last year. (pictured in my most recent post) LOVE all the jadite pieces! vickie

I LOVE this cabinet!!! I have been searching for one just like it but have had no luck. I'm in PA and have dealers trying to locate one for me, although I would rather find one on my own! Any helpful hints or know of any of these around? Thanks! :)
