Green Is My Favorite......

One of my favorite things are stools, especially the vintage kitchen stools.  I have two, a green one and a red one, the red one I'll save for another time.  The other is vintage scales.  I have a small collection of them and  found this one at one of the last yard sales in the fall.  It's green, (oh yeah) and grey! It was only $7.00!  The stool was another yard sale find for $12.00!  I'm kind of going thru withdrawels cuz I haven't gone to any sales or the flea since before Christmas!  Thank goodness the Flea is this weekend, can't wait!!

Till next time.......
Rebecca

PS.  Today is my x - Marine's 26 th birthday!  I can hardly believe it!
(I know you won't tell him I put his pic on here, right)!

  1. Two of my faves too! I found a blue metal Cosco stool for $1!!! It was the last day of an estate sale and they were about to toss it into the dumpster - score for me! Love that scale.

  2. Hi Rebecca, I love your green treasures! I have one scale. It is cream with green trim. I love it also. I did have a darling yellow stool that I got from my hubby's grandparents home. My oldest daughter loved it ao I was a nice mama and let her have it. That doesn't happen often. lol! Happy B-day to your x-marine. Thanks to him for serving his country!

  5. Love the Chatillion scale and actually had a member of the family, a nurse, stay at our house back in the 1980's. French roots in that family I believe but she was a traveling nurse from New York and I keep an eye on Chatillion scales ever since. I now have two scales and love them both.

  7. One can never have too many scales. There's always something to be weighed, right? My mother has that stool in red and I'm keeping a very close eye on it.

    Happy birthday to your son!

  13. Love your vintage green stool, and the old scales, Rebecca, but I really love what ever the chippy white piece is that I am seeing behind it? Happy B-day to the x-marine, and no, we won't say a word!!! Thanks in advance for looking for my ladder this week-end. I still can't believe I sold my other one! Got a call yesterday from one of the ladies that came to the shop the other day, and I have sold three more pieces! I seriously have not got a lot left, and am having difficulty finding "reasonably" priced anything right now.

  14. ahhh, what a sweet looking boy, er man!!( i know, I have two and they will always be my "boys"!) I have a red stool exactly like the green one you have, and I use it pretty often as a step ladder in my kitchen.....it's a little rickity but
does the job and looks great at the same time! I love scales too....can you ever have enough of those? And this is a guess, but do you like the old household fans? i kind of lump those in there with scales, the functional metal things of old that are still as cool as they can be! C ya!~ d:)
