I bought this kitchen cabinet a few years ago at an auction. It was a good deal at only $125.00. I've had it in my kitchen ever since and it definitely comes in handy for storage and I really love the way it looks. Over all, it's in pretty good shape, I could do a little scraping on the glass to get the excess paint off, but so far I've "lazed" out and left it. It holds some of my jadeite collection, some of my favorite dishes and is the perfect place for a lot of my cookbooks.
Till next time......
Rebecca

I love it!!! One of the nicest I've ever seen. I have a red and white enamel top table that is one of my favorite things and would look perfect with it. It used to be our kitchen table, but now it is in my office piled with stuff.
ReplyDeleteI have almost that identical cabinet! I bought it about 2 months ago and plan on fixing it up (mine wasn't in super great condition) and then putting it in the new kitchen! I love what you use yours for!
ReplyDeleteI had one of those, but I gave it to my son and my entire collection or orange/red Fiesta ware when we moved. There just wasn't room for it in our new house. I still miss it. I love your collection, too. It looks great in there.
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome cabinet...love your jadite collection...I have a collection too, but mine is not as big as yours. Come by and grab my featured button for your blog...you will understand why when you get there:) Thanks fir sharing at NTT:)
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Linda
Great cabinet and love the green/red with it.
ReplyDeleteJust dropping by from 'The House in the Rose'. A great cabinet and even greater jadite collection. You don't see it in the UK so I always try to buy some when I visit the US.
ReplyDeleteLove the cabinet...love what you've got inside even more!
ReplyDeleteIt makes me think Amish - I have no idea why since I've never set foot in an Amish home but I love the color of the cabinet and how you've decorated with it.
It's a great piece of furniture. I love your collections! Everything looks great together.

ReplyDeleteI love your cabinet! I have something similar. I have the same table top, except mine is on a cabinet. My husband restored it you can see it on my blog if you would like http://carolannbychance.blogspot.com (antique baker's table/cabinet)
ReplyDeleteThis looks like it could have been a hoosier...those are very expensive, last summer I thought of getting one but they were over $1,000, you got a great deal!
ReplyDeleteI got mine from Gas Lamp Antiques in Nashville (across from 100 Oaks). That is one of my favorite shops! My cabinet was Martha Kidd's (of David and Kidd Booksellers). It still has the flour sifter intact, but needs some work and clean up. I'll have pictures up as soon as I've finished it!
