I have collected different things for a long time, luckily for me, before most of them got popular and expensive. Here are some favorites that are around the house! I love changing things out for fall, winter and summer and am starting to look forward to getting my beachy stuff put away at the end of the month and digging out fall! But for now, here are some of the the things that make me happy!
This collection of vintage green kitchen utensils was my first collection which I stared years ago when on of my best friends in WI (where I lived for 3 years) gave me a piece which was her grandmother's.
I love books with out door titles, these are a few of my favs, the Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farms book was given to me by one of our favorite dealers who now has her own fabulous shop in Nolensville TN.
You can check out her blog at http://www.rosesandrustics.com/
These are just a few of the things I never get tired of, what about you?
Till next time.....
Rebecca
I'm partying at:
Ok, I want the white pitchers, the old books, oh heck, no need in going on and on, I want it all! Love it! Is that a croquet set? I want it too, what ever it is. Have a great week, I sent you an e-mail over the week-end, waiting to see what you think.
ReplyDeleteTeresa's right... all these are great! I really like the jar with all the kitchen tools in it. Thanks for visiting the Firefly.

Your photos look like a wonderful recap of the flea market I visited yesterday ;)
ReplyDeleteYou have a great eye for things collected!
I have that same set of spice jars (mine have silver lids) and they are one of my favourites - I found them in Ventura, one of my favourite places for vintage finds when I'm in the US. Louise x
ReplyDeleteLove your collections..
ReplyDeleteMy husband brought me home a croquet set that I haven't shared yet.
Have a great week!
The vintage croquet set is wonderful. We just played quite a few rounds of croquet at the the beach this weekend. It's such a perfect beach/backyard pasttime. Love your great finds!
ReplyDeleteYou hit some of my favorites too!
ReplyDeleteLove the green handled bouquet of kitchen utensils, love the white ironstone.... seriously... how can something so plain and white and utilitarian be so doggone enchanting to me?
(I love vanilla too... that probably explains it!?)
But there is just something about croquet sets. I want to buy every single set I see. the chippier and more faded the better. I love the balls, the mallets, the markers, etc. Those colorful paint stripes just make me swoon.
:D
Great collections.
Love coming here!

Love the green handle kitchen utensil and I'm crazy about the books with outdoor titles--I never thought of doing that--what a great idea!
ReplyDeleteI just went to check out the blog and it doesn't exist. Bad link or maybe she stopped blogging?
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy stopping by blogs such as yours to see what great thrift shop and garage sale finds you've discovered.
ReplyDeleteYou're an inspiration!
I'm so looking forward to hitting my local thrift store this weekend!
I adore those old books! The pitchers are delicate and I love the clocks and florida towel! Great collection.
ReplyDeleteAll great stuff, especially those little milk glass jars with the green lids - so cute!
ReplyDeleteRebecca,
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy for you that Aaron will be able to visit before he deploys. It be nice if my husband was put on that crew since both my kids birthdays are in Oct....but I'm ok that he's not.
Hope today is a great day!
I just love that croquet set! You really have some beautiful pieces there!
ReplyDeleteThe vintage luggage caught my eye, and the ironstone.
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful post.Gorgeous recap of flea market. Love everything here. Thanks for sharing. Hope to see you on my blog:)
ReplyDeleteYou've got some terrific collections! I love the pitchers of course. And I really think you can never have too many old suitcases. SO many things to do with them!
ReplyDeleteLovely collection! Thanks for adding your link to BC Good Life Wednesdays.
ReplyDeleteWow what great stuff!!!
ReplyDeleteI love everything! And those pitchers!!
I'm like you I'm kinda excited about fall so I can switch out the house...... I don't want summer to end, I don't want snow, but decorating must come first!!
Your vintage collections are exquisite. I too love old luggage but so far have only one huge leather suitcase. The croquet set is very cool and I am old enough to have played it in the 60's.
ReplyDeleteI can see why you love all of these things. Each one is a treasure. Thank you for linking up to Open House Party. I really appreciate it...and come back next week!
ReplyDeleteThe old suitcases look fabulous. I need to go antiquing this weekend!
ReplyDeleteBest wishes,
Natasha.
Hi Rebecca, I went to the Long Beach Flea Market (at Vet Stadium). It has grown to quite a production - you would enjoy it - not small anymore. A lot of the venders are also at the Pasadena Flea Market. Thanks for visiting today and for your nice comments :)
ReplyDeleteBalls, suitcases, clocks, books...some of my favorite things! Love how you used a 'title theme' for displaying books - never thought of that!!
ReplyDeleteJan
I think I'd very happily pinch all of these from you!! If you wake up tomorrow to find they're missing then it was me!!! ;-)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for linking up to my Summer Loving party.

I love all of your collections! I collect some of the same things, it's so nice to have furniture and accessories around us that have meaning and a history of their own. Don't you think? That is why I collect vintage items. New items just do not speak to me anymore and haven't for several years, except for linens that is.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Cindy
We have matching croquet sets! I love the green handled kitchen utensils. I have a few in green and a few in a creamy white. Love them displayed in the jar. Mine are hiding in the cabinet right now and i really should get them out again.
ReplyDeleteLove your pictures but I thought I was at my house. You have all the same things I have. Good taste.LOL.
ReplyDeleteFound you at FJI.
Beautiful collection.
ReplyDeleteFondly,
Glenda
