It's summer and that means beach time! Since I'm not in California anymore with access to some of the most beautiful beaches anywhere, I have to improvise and do what I can to bring a bit of
the beach to my family room mantle in Tennessee! This summer, I kept things simple and used
a lot of my "thrifty finds".
a lot of my "thrifty finds".
Window was free, found by trash in an alley
Sailboat picture was a yard sale find, cost: $5.00
Small mercury glass candle holder, Kohls on sale after Christmas, $4.00
Life preserver, yard sale, $3.00
Till next time......

Hi, I am visiting and following from Dwellings.
ReplyDeleteI love that picture hanging on the window. It looks so cute, chippy and graphic.
Love it.
Such fab mantel décor! I love the way you hung the picture on top of the window frame... great idea! I sure wish I had a mantel to decorate, you did a lovely job!!
ReplyDeleteLove your mantel.
ReplyDeleteI just BOUGHT my first window and paid $35. I thought that was great because the only other one in the antique store was $75 and the windows I saw in Montecito for sale were $850.
And, you are right, California has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world.
Simple perfection. Love the fireplace "screen."
ReplyDeleteSuper chic beachy! Love it:) Pinning
