At dinner the other night, Wanda and I took a walk down memory lane, back to 302 West Vine Street. It was in December 2010, a year ago that we closed our store. It was a long and hard decision after being in business for 3 years, and as much as we loved it, it was time to move on, we were ready to do other things. It was sad to say goodbye to our amazing dealers and our wonderful customers but we went out with a fabulous, blowout, Christmas party and everyone had a blast!
So, here's a look back at the store and some of our favorite things we had for sale!
So, here's a look back at the store and some of our favorite things we had for sale!
( some of these photos were taken before we ever thought about posting them so not the best)
One of our dealers made all these lamps from architectural pieces
Our favorite "junk" lady
These was the most adorable pair of childrens's skis
These fabulous pumpkins were brought in by our "floral"guy
This old shoe shine chair was bought and used in the movie Billy Graham that was filmed in Nashville
We sold this old tub with cotton for $75.00 which we thought was amazing, considering it was all almost free
The next 3 photos are of Jane's space, Rustic and Roses who now has her own fabulous shop in Nolensville
We had a guy that did fantastic floral designs and had the most amazing accessories
(if you saw my mantle last year, he did the amazing Santa in the stocking with the pheasent feathers)
We got this door at the Flea for $20.00
We got these trunks at Watertown for $15.00 each and they were perfect inside
"Mr. Pumpkin Head" came from the Good Will
I got these chairs at a yard sale for $2.00 each
This is a photo of one of our spring windows
Our store was a mixture of antiques, garden and home decor.
Hope you enjoyed your look back at some of the most fun and hardest work we have ever had and done!
Till next time......
Rebecca

I wish I had been able to come to your store before you closed it! It looks beautiful from these pictures!!!
I went with a friend to some antique shops this weekend. I ended up finding a coffee table at a store called Peacock Lane. It's really simple and cute. I just need to paint it! :o)
BTW - Congrats to Kate on how well she's doing in her shows! That's amazing!!!
Your store looked beautiful! I am so sorry it closed! BTW....I wanted to invite you to stop by my blog. We are having an "impossibility" challenge for 2012!
Rebecca, what beautiful and inspiring items. I was just taking photos of cotton today. Love all the pumpkins. I realize just how much work keeping a store must be. I hope you are content with your situation now. hugs♥O
O.k. I'm drooling! It looks like my kinda place. Sorry I never made it there. But when one door closes another one opens, right!

Thats just the sort of store I seek out when I'm Stateside. I would have loved to have shopped there! Great window display and lots of tempting things to buy.
I'm always so impressed by the creative energy US sellers put into displaying their merchandise - it really inspires me with my own efforts here in the UK.
Hi Rebecca,
What beautiful memories!
Great photos too...
Have a great week!
All the Best,
Christine

Oh how I wish I could have been there for your going out of business sale! I want a mixture of things just like ya'll had. I have already made a couple of sales even tho I'm not "officially" open yet. It is so exciting! Bobby from Paint or Dig is suppose to come down for my grand opening, and I'm excited about that too. Wish you could come??? I'm cooking........
Anyhoo, I'm going to check out your kitchen post below one more time. I'm seriously, SERIOUSLY considering doing all white cabinets in my kitchen when we get the wood floor down. Actually I want to do it before, but hubby keeps saying wait and get the floor down and look at it????? UGH
Retail is so darn hard. Your store was beautiful though and I enjoyed the pics so much!
Very beautiful! How sad that the business couldn't keep going! It looks like a great inspiration to you and everyone who came through. andrea@townandprairie
